So, I’m way behind with this submission. Bad Intentions was released way back in September of last year, but my writing has been sporadic at best due to on-going issues I’m dealing with. PUSH! are a band out of Portugal and play a nice mix of metallic hardcore with all the thrashy parts included and also heavy hardcore. Some of the songs are more thrashy metallic hardcore edged, whilst others on Bad Intentions emphasise the breakdowns and heavy hardcore aspect with a slower, but focused mosh aspect. Then, some songs can be both, so it is a nice mix. There are way too many bands to name drop to reference for this style, but if you enjoy this kind of music, then you know what to expect.
Verdict: I liked Bad Intentions, but I listen to a lot of hardcore (readers are probably thinking what extreme metal/hardcore punk don’t you like). Bad Intentions in my opinion is strictly for hardcore fans and has been engineered purely for the pit. Not sure some of my metal friends will appreciate it, but it is a solid mosh workout for sure.
